Dubai Duty Free was a recipient of two awards at the World Sustainability Congress held at The Address Hotel, which was attended by over 200 professionals from different organisations, NGOs, public interests groups and governmental bodies.
The operation was presented with “Excellence in Sustainable EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Management” for its valuable contribution to building and sustaining the organisational culture of an excellent EHS management within the company, while its Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin was a recipient of the “100 Global Sustainable Leaders (CEO)”.
Commenting on the awards, Colm McLoughlin said, “I am thankful for these awards and for being selected as one of the “100 Global Sustainable Leaders (CEO)”. Sustainability on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) has always been central to the nature of Dubai Duty Free business and to the way the company operates. Present at the congress to receive the awards from Dr. Tarita Shankar - Founder and Chairperson of the Indira Group of Institutes, was Bernard Creed, Senior Vice President – Finance, Dubai Duty Free.
Organised by the World Sustainability group the congress recognised twenty one individuals and organisations across Global Sustainable Leadership, Middle East Education Leadership, Excellence in Sustainability, CSR, Social Innovation and NGO, and GCC Best Employer Brands.
