DEWAR’S® Gold Rush Raffle Tours The Middle East

From 1 February to 3 February, Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division and their retail partners picked the grand prize winners of the DEWAR’S® Gold Rush programme at international airports in Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Oman. The five-stop raffle tour, the programme’s final stage, picked six lucky consumers to win a bar of gold.

Launching in The Middle East in October, consumers of legal drinking age were invited to buy three bottles of the award-winning DEWAR’S 12® Scotch Whisky, upon which they received a scratch-to-win card for an instant prize of either a gold iPod Touch, a gold coin (valued at 30 USD), or a DEWAR’S® 12 37.5 cl. Post-purchase, consumers were entered to win a bar of gold, with two bars available at Dubai Airport, and one bar available at each of the other participating locations.

“DEWAR’S Gold Rush was developed with our retailer partners as a 360 degree programme that would increase category footfall and sales, as well as create a hands-on experience for consumers that is exciting and memorable,” says Erwin van Outheusden, Middle East, Africa, and Greece Regional Manager, Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division.

One of the six grand prize winners was announced at Dubai Duty Free on 1st February.
