The ‘Guess the Ball’ promotion which ran during the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships at the Dubai Tennis Stadium has produced a winner.
Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Dawood, a Dubai-based Indian national never thought that his ‘Guess the Ball’ entry would result in him winning a brand new car, an Ice Silver Audi A5 Sportback 2.0. Mr. Dawood who entered the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships Ball Count competition had accurately predicted that there were 5,697 tennis balls in the Audi car.
When asked how he came up with the number, Mr. Dawood said: “I just put the numbers that first came to mind when I purchased a ball count coupon plus my lucky number which is 7. I could not believe my luck when I received a call from Dubai Duty Free announcing that I won the car, and my guess turned out to be right!”
Mr. Dawood was presented today (Thursday) at the Dubai Tennis Stadium with the keys of the Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 by Colm McLoughlin, Dubai Duty Free Managing Director, Salah Tahlak, Director Corporate Communications, Dubai Duty Free and Ali Naboodah, General Manager, Audi - Al Nabooda Automobiles.
Mr. Dawood, who works as company driver for Emirates Trading Agency, is a resident of the UAE for fifteen years.
“The Ball Count competition has been a part of the tennis tournament since it began in 1993 and this is the sixth time that the car has been won. We are delighted for Mr. Dawood”, said Mr. McLoughlin.
Mr. Dawood was one of the entrants for this year’s Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships Ball Count competition. Each entrant had to guess the exact number of tennis balls in the Audi A5 car and the ball count was conducted in the presence of officials from Dubai Duty Free and Mr. Adrian Chaffey, Brand Manager of Al Nabooda Automobiles for Audi.
