Dubai Duty Free’s Director of Corporate Communications, Mr. Salah Tahlak, was recently presented with an “Honorary Award” at the first Emerging Markets Airports Award held at Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai.
Mr. Tahlak, who is also the Tournament Director for the Dubai Tennis Championships and serves on the Dubai Sports Council, was presented with his award by H. E. Engr. Sultan Al Mansouri – Minister of Economy and Chairman of UAE General Aviation Authority.
Accepting the award, Salah Tahlak paid tribute to the President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Duty Free, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and to Dubai Duty Free Managing Director, Colm McLoughlin, for their continuous guidance and support.
“I am delighted to accept this award,” said Mr. Tahlak. “At Dubai Duty Free I have been fortunate to work for an organization that encourages growth and personal development.”

The EMA Awards were founded with the objective of recognising the talents within the industry across the Middle East and other emerging markets. The finalists were selected by members of the advisory panel who scrutinised every entry and analysed each company and individual’s accomplishments over the past 12 months.
